Got a good deal on a Ramverk suitcase

I was looking for a new hard shell suitcase and waited for a sale. Managed to grab a Ramverk suitcase when they had a seasonal clearance. The discount made it really worth it for me. Shipping was free too, which always helps. It seems well-made, and the wheels are smooth. Glad I waited to buy it at a lower price point.

The Ramverk Pro is amazing!

Oh my goodness, I just received my Ramverk Pro and it's even better than I imagined! The design is so sleek, and the build quality feels super premium. I can tell this thing is going to last forever. I'm already planning my next trip just to use it. Seriously, if you're thinking about getting one, do it! You won't regret it. I'm so happy with this purchase and will absolutely be shopping here again for more gear. Highly recommend to everyone!

Good Hugger backpack

I got the Hugger backpack a few weeks ago for a trip. It felt really solid and held everything I needed. The laptop sleeve was super handy. No issues at all, definitely a good purchase.

Decent purchase, some minor gripes

I bought The Strøm backpack after seeing some good reviews online. The quality of the materials is definitely top-notch, and it felt very comfortable even when fully packed. Shipping was pretty quick, which was a plus. My main issue was that the main compartment zipper felt a bit stiff at first; it loosened up after a few uses, but it was noticeable. For the price, I expected a completely smooth experience right out of the box. Overall, I'm satisfied with the bag itself and its functionality, but that zipper stood out.

Smooth experience for The Carry-on

I ordered The Carry-on a couple of weeks ago. The website was easy to navigate, and the ordering process was straightforward. I received a confirmation email immediately, and the tracking information was updated regularly. The bag arrived in about four business days, well-packaged and in perfect condition. It's exactly as described on the site; the compartments are well-thought-out, and it fits perfectly in overhead bins. I also appreciated the sturdy handle. I haven't needed customer support, which is a good sign. The quality feels premium, and I anticipate it'll hold up well for many trips. Definitely a solid investment for frequent travel.

Just got back from my trip with the Ramverk Pro and noticed some scuffs already. Anyone else find these hard shell cases scratch easily?

A ArjunS 1 month ago
Yeah, I have the Ramverk Pro Check-in and it definitely picks up marks. I think it's just the nature of hard shell luggage when it gets thrown around by airlines. Mine got a pretty deep one on the first trip.

True, airlines are brutal. I was hoping for a bit more resilience though.

I use a luggage cover for mine now. Looks silly but saves it a bit.

Mine held up pretty well actually. I have the medium check-in in black and after three international trips, it just has a few minor surface scratches that you barely notice. Maybe it depends on the color?

Black usually hides scuffs better. Good point.

Hmm, mine is the light grey. Maybe that's why it shows more.

I haven't had issues with scuffs, but I'm super careful with mine. Always try to carry it when possible and gate-check if allowed. It's an expensive bag, gotta protect it!

Hard to be super careful when it's out of your hands at the airport.

Hey, I'm a student and saw they might have a discount. Does anyone know if that's legit and how to get it? Don't wanna miss out.

T Tara Y. 1 month ago
Yeah, they do! I got 10% off my Strøm backpack last year with my student ID. I think you just verify through some service on their site.

L Laura Carter 1 month ago
It's real. Usually, they have a link at the bottom of the page or in the FAQ for student discounts. It's a single-use code though, so can't combine it with Black Friday stuff or anything.

How's the return process if I get a bag and it's not quite what I expected? Heard some places make it a huge hassle.

M Marcus A. 2 months ago
Returns were super easy for me. Just initiated it online and got a shipping label. Got my refund within a week or so after they received the item.

S Shane 2 months ago
As long as it's within their window and unused, it's pretty straightforward. I think you gotta pay for return shipping sometimes though, depending on the reason.

Are the Ramverk suitcases actually carry-on approved for most airlines? The dimensions look okay but sometimes they're super strict.

M Mia Romero 2 months ago
I've flown with my Ramverk Pro as a carry-on on United and Delta, no issues at all. Fits perfectly in the overhead bin.
3
B Brett 2 months ago
It depends on the specific model. The Cabin luggage one is definitely made for it, but some of the larger 'The Carry-on' types might push it on budget airlines, so double-check the exact dimensions vs. your airline.

Thinking of getting The Backpack for my daily commute, but also want something for short weekend trips. Is it versatile enough or should I look at a Hugger?

V VikramJ 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I have both! The Backpack is perfect for daily office stuff. For weekends, especially if you need an extra pair of shoes or a jacket, the Hugger 20L or 25L gives you that little bit of extra space without being too bulky. The Hugger also opens up more like a suitcase which is handy.

K Kiran91 3 weeks ago
That's a good point about the opening. The clamshell style is appealing.

Which Hugger size do you find best for a weekend?

R RajeshK 3 weeks ago
Agree, the Hugger's full opening is a game changer for packing.

Honestly, if you're even thinking about weekend trips, go for the Hugger 20L. The Backpack is a bit too slim for anything beyond everyday carry, in my opinion. You'll thank yourself for the extra capacity.

K Kiran91 3 weeks ago
Yeah, leaning towards the Hugger now after these comments.

The Backpack is great for daily commute, definitely. Fits laptop, essentials, even a lunchbox. For weekend trips, it depends how much you pack. For a light overnight it's fine, but anything more than that, you might feel a bit squeezed.

K Kiran91 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I usually pack light for weekends. Just a change of clothes and toiletries.

Considering one of the snowboard bags but also looking at Burton. Is Db Journey really worth the higher price compared to something like a Burton wheelie bag?

B Brett 2 months ago
I've had both, and the Db Journey ski bag feels way more robust, especially the wheels and handle. Plus the hook-up system with their other bags is really handy if you're traveling with more gear.

T Troy Patel 2 months ago
My buddy swears by his Db Journey snowboard roller. He says it's way more protective and handles airport abuse better than his old Burton one ever did. Plus it just looks slicker, lol.

Thinking of grabbing a Hugger backpack for a trip next month. Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to, say, California? Need it before the 20th.

S Shane Carter 2 months ago
Mine took about a week and a half to get to LA, I ordered during a sale though so maybe that slowed it down a bit?
6
M Mark Foster 2 months ago
Yeah, I'm in NorCal, and my Ramverk Pro came in like 6-7 business days. You should be fine if you order soon.
